KML (Keyhole Markup Language) is an XML-based format for geographic data, originally developed for Google Earth. It can store points (placemarks), polygons, lines, and other geographic features with styling information.
KML is a plain XML text file. KMZ is a compressed (zipped) version of KML that can also include images and other resources. This viewer currently supports .kml files. For .kmz files, extract the .kml file first using any zip utility.
