EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) is metadata embedded in photos by cameras and smartphones. It includes GPS coordinates, date and time, camera make and model, lens information, exposure settings, and sometimes even a thumbnail of the original image.
Photos shared online may reveal your exact GPS location, home address, workplace, or travel patterns through embedded coordinates. Removing EXIF data protects your privacy and is especially important for field documentation, property photos, and images shared publicly.

The tool supports JPEG (.jpg/.jpeg), PNG (.png), and WebP (.webp) images. JPEG files typically contain the most EXIF data including GPS coordinates. PNG and WebP files may contain limited metadata which is also removed.
